My journey has been one of 'self-healing', finding my own path using teachings and practices kindly given for free or for the price of an audiobook, by many wise and engaging teachers.

Here are the ones who have truly inspired me.

Radical Acceptance - Tara Brach

Tara focuses on the processing of difficult emotions through her RAIN meditation as well as acceptance and self-compassion. She blends biology and psychology with meditation and a bit of spirituality so is quite accessible. She does a weekly podcast too so you can get an idea of her vibe.

Sarah also helps deal with difficult emotions and is very direct in terms of addressing the suffering we might be feeling in her meditations. They are very beautiful and healing. She has lots of free short meditation on Insight Timer and some longer courses, which you need to subscribe to IT to access. I found this one very helpful when I was very ill and suffering emotionally. This Deepest Self | Insight Timer

Excerpt: The Power of Now A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment - Eckhart Tolle | Official Site - Spiritual Teachings and Tools For Personal Growth and Happiness

Eckhart also does weekly podcasts, his teachings are very simple, and focus on being in the present moment, he's funny but also very profound! I listen to his book on repeat.

Wim Hof Method Guided Breathing for Beginners (3 Rounds Slow Pace) - YouTube

I found that doing this breathing exercise 3 times a day started to quieten my mind, they are quite intense so they may tire you out so be careful. Also, cold showers can also bring us in to the moment and calm our nervous system.

These have a program that you can follow yourself or join their community.

The Daily Practice - The Crappy Childhood Fairy

Anna has hundreds of You Tube videos, she focuses on Complex PTSD, generally considered to be caused by

childhood neglect but her descriptions of the feelings it creates really resonated with me as being ill with ME can be a traumatic experience. Although her videos mainly focus on dating and relationships, she recommends a daily practice that I have found very helpful.
